What is Wisdom with Wealth?

Wisdom with Wealth is a database of financial truths derived from the Book of Proverbs in the Bible.

This site is designed for all sincere seekers of trust-worthy financial counsel.

Tom Lipp and his wife, Priscilla, live on an acreage near Calgary and enjoy their ten children and twelve grandchildren all in Alberta.

Tom is an immigrant to Canada, was raised in Ontario where he earned his MBA in Toronto and later became a professional accountant in Western Canada.

This video (below) shows his family background.

Trust-worthy Financial Counsel

As a professional accountant Tom soon understood that the Canadian Income Tax Acts was horribly complex – to say the least.

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) were simpler but also unstable.

When Tom became a Christ follower during his student years, he discovered that the book of Proverbs with its 915 verses contained 178 sections relating to asset management.

It was a treasure chest of cross-cultural, timeless, and non-optional financial counsel.

It became this website searchable by:

  1. Question and Answer with one question pointing to many others.
  2. Character Themes such as Diligent Daniel, Tax-Driven Ted, and Prudent Pauline.
  3. Classic Chapter and Verse.

Principles Guiding Principal

Most of us want to be "principled" rather than making financial decisions based on greed or fear.

But how do we know which principles to apply in which context at what time and to what intensity?

The Creator God, who governs the visible and the invisible worlds has many names. Some of His names include the word “Prince”, such as the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), Prince of Life (Acts 3:15), Prince and a Saviour (Acts 5:31) and Prince of the Kings of the Earth (Revelation 1:5 - KJV).

When t comes to the application of mindless principles, it’s best to be led by the omniscient Prince lead us.  Let the PRINCE lead in the application of the PRINC - iple.

We must know the principles for success but follow the leadership of the Spirit of God and the Lord Jesus Christ for true lasting success. He provides appropriate leadership.

The great truths are not only too important to be new, but also, too powerful and too dangerous to ignore.
